# Trama

> Trama is a headless commerce bridge: connect any custom React or Next.js frontend to a Wix, Shopify, or Webflow backend without migrating platforms. Products, cart, inventory, and native checkout stay on the existing platform; the frontend is fully custom. No new commerce engine to run, no data migration, no lock-in beyond the platform already in use.

Trama is infrastructure for developers, agencies, and technical founders building a custom storefront on top of an existing Wix, Shopify, or Webflow store. It is not a no-code site builder, not a theme, and not a replacement commerce engine (like Medusa, Saleor, or commercetools) — it is a bridge layer between an existing backend and a custom frontend.
